1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant ?? Location: Bushey, Hertfordshire
?? Hours: 25 hours per week (term-time only), with potential for additional hours (e.g. after-school clubs)

?? Salary: Pro-rata FTE, approximately £19,000 – £22,000 per annum

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive educational setting in Bushey, Hertfordshire.

This permanent, part-time role involves providing tailored 1:1 support to a Year 7 student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). You will play a vital role in their academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and overall development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent 1:1 support, tailored to the student’s specific needs
• Implement EHCP strategies in collaboration with the SENCo and teaching team
• Support the student in class and during unstructured times to build confidence and independence
• Promote emotional wellbeing, social development, and positive behaviour
• Monitor and report on student progress and contribute to EHCP review meetings

Requirements:

• Essential: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, specifically in a 1:1 capacity within an educational setting
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and learning
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
