1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant Role in Plymouth

We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Plymouth.

Your new role
You will work closely with a pupil who requires additional support to access the curriculum and thrive in the classroom. Your role will involve:

• Providing tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day
• Assisting with the pupil's learning activities, social development, and emotional well-being
• Collaborating with the class teacher, SENCo, and external agencies to implement personalised strategies
• Creating a safe, nurturing environment that enables learning through encouragement and care

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with children with SEND, particularly in a school setting
• A kind and proactive approach, with strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to follow personalised learning plans and adapt to the child's evolving needs
• Relevant Level 2 or 3 qualifications
