SEMH/SEN Home Tutor

• Hourly Rate: £25 - £35
• Location: Hillingdon
• Job Type: Flexible (Part-time or Full-time)

We are actively seeking SEMH/SEN Home Tutors to support children in Hillingdon who access education outside of traditional settings. This role is suited for dedicated educators who are passionate about providing customised educational support to children facing challenges such as anxiety, behavioural issues, medical conditions, or transitions between educational environments.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver personalised education to children at their homes or through our online platform, focusing primarily on Maths and English.
• Employ creative teaching methods to cater to various learning styles and engage students by integrating their interests into lessons.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, the council, and occasionally external agencies like care homes or the police.
• Build trust and provide consistent support to encourage educational and personal growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Teaching Degree or Further Education (FE) Qualifications.
• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), either primary or secondary.
• Excellent communication skills and a trustworthy, empathetic approach.
• Desirable: DBS on the update service.
• Must have excellent references.
