Job Description - 7.5t Delivery Driver

We are currently recruiting for 7.5t Delivery Drivers for our client based in Spennymoor on an ad hoc basis!

As part of a two-person delivery team the Drivers will assist with deliveries and may help to assemble the products at our customers homes.

The role will include:
  • Completing deliveries on time, to schedule and most importantly ensuring customers are left happy
  • Being friendly and helpful throughout
  • Keeping customers informed by calling ahead
  • Delivering and assembling furniture
  • Supporting an environment and culture where the Customer is firmly at the centre of everything that we do
  • Monitoring vehicle roadworthiness and reporting any defects

Skills and Driving Licence Requirements:
  • A UK driving licence Cat C1
  • Valid driver’s CPC DQ card / valid drivers digital card
  • Previous commercial driving experience in a 7.5t vehicle
  • Previous experience and understanding of using digital tachographs
  • Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items of furniture with manual handling experience
  • Understanding of EU Driving legislation and tachograph law
  • Desirable experience of using a PDA

Hourly Rate: £13.95
Working days: Between Monday to Friday
