Job Description - Accounts Administrator

Location: Bolton Support Centre (Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote)

Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time

The Original Factory Shop has been serving local communities with great value and well-known brands for over 50 years. As we continue to grow, we're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our Finance team at our new Bolton Support Centre.

This role is central to the smooth running of our accounts payable and receivable function. You'll play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient processes - all within a friendly, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Manage supplier communications and respond to invoice enquiries
  • Match GRNs to stock invoices and address discrepancies
  • Raise debit notes for shortages, pricing issues, and non-conformances
  • Manage direct delivery and return to supplier invoices and processes
  • Support with month-end accruals, journals, and reporting
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained and available for audit
  • Maintain the GRNI and direct accrual calculations
  • Regularly update internal reporting logs and systems

About You

  • Experience of working for a retail or ecommerce business (desirable but not essential)
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
  • Proficient in data entry and invoice processing
  • Excellent IT and Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organised, methodical, and proactive
  • Experience with Sage 200 is desirable but not essential
