Accounts Assistant (3-Month Contract - Part-Time)
Location: Horsham (3 days per week)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 pro rata

We're working with a business in the construction sector, seeking a hands-on Accounts Assistant to support their finance function. This is a part-time, 3-month contract ideal for someone with relevant sector experience who enjoys the structure of accounts work and getting things done with accuracy and minimal fuss.

The role is based in Horsham, offering a friendly team environment and the opportunity to make an immediate impact.

This is a back-office finance role focused on core transactional tasks. The successful candidate will be someone who's confident juggling multiple duties and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.

Key responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable - approving, processing and filing invoices

• Inputting invoices into Navision (experience preferred but not essential)

• Bank reconciliations

• Month-end support

• VAT returns - knowledge of VAT processes essential

• CIS processing and compliance

You'll be part of a small finance team, reporting into a Finance Manager who's approachable and values reliability and precision.

You're someone who's worked in a similar role ideally within the construction industry and you understand the importance of getting the details right when it comes to CIS and VAT.

You'll likely have:

• Prior experience in a transactional finance or accounts assistant role

• Knowledge of VAT rules and CIS (essential)

• Familiarity with Navision (a bonus, not a deal-breaker)

• A methodical and organised approach

• Availability to commit to a 3-month role, working 3 days per week
