Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper

Liverpool City Centre

* Part-Time – 3 full days or reduced hours each day

* Monday-Friday

An established and stable accountancy practice based in Liverpool city centre is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys working with a variety of SME and sole trader clients. We are also open to considering candidates moving from industry into practice, provided they have strong all-round transactional finance experience and are keen to learn.

The Role

You will support a varied portfolio of clients with duties including:

* Bookkeeping to trial balance

* Bank reconciliations

* Purchase and sales ledger

* Payroll support (training can be provided)

* VAT returns (training can be provided)

* General accounts administration

About You

We are looking for someone who:

* Ideally holds or is working towards an AAT qualification

* Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment

* OR has strong industry finance experience and is looking to move into practice

* Has experience using Xero and Sage

* QuickBooks experience would be advantageous

* Has a good working knowledge of Excel

* Is organised, reliable and enjoys working with SME and sole trader clients
