Accounts Assistant - Immediate Start

Role: Accounts Assistant

Location: Hatfield

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm

Salary: £13.00- £15.00 an hour, weekly pay

Temporary opportunity for 2 – 3 months

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a client based in Hatfield.

Duties of an Accounts Assistant:

• Process purchase invoices and sales invoices accurately and promptly
• Maintain and reconcile supplier and customer accounts
• Prepare and process payments (e.g. BACS)
• Assist with expenses payments
• Monitor and follow-up on outstanding receivables
• Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and databases
• Assist with bank reconciliations
• File and organise financial documents for audit and compliance purposes
• Liaise with suppliers, clients, and operational teams regarding finance-related queries
• Assist with VAT returns
• Undertake administrative tasks, such as filing and printing.

What we would like from you:

• Proven experience within an Accounts role
• Experience using SAGE 50
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
• Ability to work independently
