We have a fantastic opportunity within the Finance team for a self-motivated, conscientious, and committed individual who is looking for an exciting new challenge and progress in their career. The successful candidate must have a do it now & can-do attitude to contribute to providing accounting duties supporting the group accounting teams.
Working reduced hours, the successful candidate will work in a small finance team and be responsible for the following tasks –
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Manage accounts payable and receivable by processing invoices, cash receipts allocation, credit notes, maintaining records, performing reconciliations, resolving queries, ensuring accurate ledger postings, and driving continuous process improvements.
Monitor general ledger posting along with Group Accountant and correct errors when there are expenses misclassification.
Inter-company transactions
Work closely with the accountants in handling inter-company transactions by processing invoices, correcting discrepancies, and allocating cash transfers between inter-companies to invoices promptly and accurately.
Payroll Duties
Collating timesheet information from production teams and inputting data accurately on Sage 50, including working hours, shift allowance, overtime and deductions.
Administrative Duties
Manage company correspondence, including phone calls, emails, letters, and packages
Manage inventory of office supplies, including stationery to ensure smooth office operations
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: HND or studying AAT is preferred.
Experience: Relevant experience in similar working environment
Technical Skills: Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Sage 50 payroll would be preferred
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficient
The business will support successful candidate on further education and continued studies.
The working hours would be around 30 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days, details to be agreed with the successful candidate.
