Accounts Assistant Part Time

Part-Time Accounts Assistant | Northwich | Up to £35,000 | Immediate Start | 6-12 Month Contract

Marks Sattin are delighted to be working with a well-established SME is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support their finance function on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business environment and make a real impact in a hands-on role.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the Sales Ledger, including credit control
• Overseeing the Purchase Ledger, reconciling supplier statements, and preparing cheque runs
• Posting and reconciling bank transactions
• Preparing monthly journals
• Assisting with VAT returns
• Supporting payroll processes
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations

About You

• Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts assistant role
• Strong understanding of both sales and purchase ledger processes
• Confident with bank reconciliations and journal entries
• Familiarity with payroll and VAT procedures
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively
