Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional looking for a part-time role in a highly regarded organisation?

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our prestigious Cambridge-based business.

Location: Cambridge
Hours: Part-Time 20-25 hours per week
Temporary: 6-12 months
Pay Rate: up to £15.00 per hour

About the Role:
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger and supporting the wider finance team.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute not only to day-to-day financial operations but also to a finance system transformation project where you will be involved in some set up and testing work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare and process payment runs
• Support month-end and year-end processes as required
• Liaise with internal departments and suppliers regarding invoice queries

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficiency in finance/accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to adapt and learn
• Interest in or prior experience with finance system implementations is a plus

This is a temporary assignment expected to last 6-12 months. You will be required to work 20-25 hours per week, preferably spread over 5 days, but those looking for 3 or 4 full days could also be considered. There is the option to work 1 day from home a week if required.

Their offices are based in Central Cambridge and there is free on site parking available.
