Job Description - Administrator

Administrator

Location: Crowborough
Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay: £16 per hour (umbrella) (£12.21 PAYE an hour)
Contract: Initial 3-month placement
Work Arrangement: On-site only

East Sussex County Council is seeking a proactive and friendly Administrator to join the team at Hookstead Day Centre, a vibrant service supporting adults with learning disabilities.

This key front-of-house role is based in a busy reception area and will suit someone with a positive, can-do attitude who enjoys working with people and thrives in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming visitors and providing a high standard of customer service
Handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
Managing paperwork, maintaining accurate records, and supporting day-to-day administrative tasks
Working alongside a committed staff team to help ensure smooth running of the service

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Strong customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Confident using spreadsheets and standard office software
Professional telephone manner

Qualifications & Training:

GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Induction training will be provided
