School Administrator 📍 Location: Dorchester 📅 Start Date: September 2026 💼 Contract Type: Part-time, Term Time Only (12 hours per week) 🕒 Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 12:30pm - 3:30pm 💷 Salary: Grade £14.25 - £15 per hour
The Role
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and enthusiastic School Administrator to join a welcoming school based in Dorchester. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated team, providing essential administrative support and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.
As one of the first points of contact for parents, visitors, staff, and pupils, you will play a key role in creating a positive and professional experience for everyone visiting or contacting the school.
Key Responsibilities
Provide efficient administrative support to the school office. Welcome visitors, parents, and pupils in a professional and friendly manner. Answer telephone calls and respond to email enquiries. Maintain accurate pupil records and filing systems. Support attendance monitoring and general school administration. Assist with correspondence, data entry, and other office duties as required. Ensure confidentiality is maintained in line with school policies.The Ideal Candidate
Has previous administrative experience (school experience is desirable but not essential). Has excellent organisational and time management skills. Possesses good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Has strong communication and interpersonal skills. Can work independently and as part of a supportive team. Is professional, approachable, and able to manage a varied workload. Demonstrates a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Why Join Our School?
