Administrator/Bookkeeper

Our client, a well-established business based in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, is looking to recruit an experienced Administrator / Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis.

This is a varied role combining bookkeeping and office administration, ideal for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working independently, and has strong Xero experience.

Key responsibilities:
• Daily bookkeeping using Xero
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit control
• Preparing VAT information
• General office administration
• Handling telephone and email enquiries
• Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
• Providing day-to-day administrative support to the management team

The successful candidate will have:
✔ Excellent working knowledge of Xero (essential)
✔ Previous bookkeeping and administrative experience
✔ Strong organisational and time management skills
✔ High attention to detail and accuracy
✔ Good communication skills
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
✔ The ability to work on their own initiative

Desirable:
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Payroll experience
• AAT qualification or similar
