Advanced Practitioner - Adults' Localities Team

  • Job Type: Part-time, Permanent (18.5 hours per week/2.5 days, flexible job share)
  • Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire (Hybrid - 3 days in the office)
  • Salary: £45,691-£49,646 FTE

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join our Adults' Localities Team in South Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting individuals and families to improve their lives and wellbeing, using a person-centred and strength-based approach. Day to Day of the Role:

You’ll play a key role in supporting frontline practitioners, offering expert guidance, mentoring, and practice development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on improving outcomes, embedding strengths-based approaches, and ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding.

  • Provide practice leadership and support to social workers and other team members.
  • Offer consultation and advice on complex cases, safeguarding concerns, and legal frameworks.
  • Lead on quality assurance, audits, and reflective practice sessions.
  • Support the implementation of legislative changes, policies, and best practice models.
  • Contribute to service development, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a link between operational teams and senior management, ensuring feedback and learning are shared.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of relevant social work legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to person-centred and strength-based practices.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in various work situations.
  • Eagerness to learn and continuously develop professional skills.
  • Relevant post-qualification experience in adult social work.
  • CQSW / DIPSW / Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Must be a driver with own car.
