Afterschool Playworker

Are you looking for part time work and an opportunity to gain valuable experience within a school environment? A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Afterschool Playworker at a primary school located in South Gloucestershire.

• £13.50 per hour
• Monday to Friday 3pm - 6pm
• 15 hours per week, term time only + inset days (39 weeks per year)
• Walking distance from Severn Beach train station or free parking on site.

About the Afterschool Playworker role

• Working with children aged 4 - 11, delivering a wide range of engaging and participative childcare activities
• Deliver high quality and stimulating play opportunities appropriate to their age and development needs
• Make sure that all children have been signed in and out
• Administer first aid as and when necessary (training will be provided)
• Provide comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents/ carers
• Flagging any concerns regarding late collections to Management

What we need from you

• A minimum of level 3 Playwork and/ or Early years level 3 qualification or related qualification
• Previous experience working with primary aged children
• Demonstrable experience of providing and facilitating safe and creative play.
• Excellent communication skills
