A-Level Psychology Teacher (0.4)

Leading Independent Sixth Form College looking for an A-Level Psychology Teacher on a 0.4 permament contract.

The College has an outstanding record of academic success and has consistently been the most successful sixth form college in London, coming top of the Department for Education league tables for the past 17 years.

We are seeking an exceptional teacher of Psychology with a strong background in the subject at A level.

It is expected that the successful candidate would be able to teach all components of A-Level Psychology topics. They should have recent experience of teaching A-level Psychology, with a proven track record of success.

Essential characteristics:

• A high-calibre graduate of Psychology;
• QTS preferred;
• excellent teaching ability and a strong record of exam results for Psychology at A-level;
• able to communicate effectively to students their enthusiasm for the subject;
• deliver inspiring lessons to students across the ability range; to stretch the most able and support the least;
• the ability to teach A level Sociology would be an advantage;
• commitment to the protection and safeguarding of young people;
• an enthusiasm and interest in the College’s well-being programme.
