Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join Southwark Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AMHP looking for their next contract within a busy Mental Health service.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

* Undertaking Mental Health Act assessments

* Assessing individuals presenting with mental health concerns

* Completing comprehensive assessments and reports

* Assessing risk and safeguarding concerns

* Working closely with psychiatrists and other professionals

* Liaising with families, carers and other agencies

* Making appropriate professional decisions in line with legislation

* Promoting least restrictive practice

* Maintaining accurate and timely records

Requirements

* Qualified Social Worker or relevant professional qualification

* Current professional registration

* Valid AMHP approval

* Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act

* Previous Mental Health Social Work experience

* Strong assessment and risk management skills
