Assistant Accountant

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a fantastic accountancy practice based near Folkestone. You will be responsible for accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT returns for a varied client base across Kent and the South-East. You will carve a key role here, adding value to clients and building relationships, within a growing team and firm.

This is a stable, long-term position offering the candidate an opportunity to settle into a well-defined role. The role provides ample exposure to all areas of accounting and bookkeeping and the opportunity to develop your technical skills. The primary focus will be on maintaining a consistent, high-quality level of service for clients.

• Prepare accounts from client records using a variety of software
  
• Draft basic tax computations and complete personal tax returns
  
• Prepare monthly bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate
  
• Deal with initial queries on accounts and liaise with clients in a professional manger

  Support the partners with ad hoc project work
  
  

Assistant Accountant Folkestone

• You may be AAT studying, qualified, or qualified by experience.
  

• 
  You will have anything from 3 - 5 years + experience within a client-facing capacity
  
  

• Experience of software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Kashflow etc. would be advantageous.

  £25,000 - £32,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
