Assistant Accountant

• Job Type: Part-time / 22.5hrs per week
• Working Days: Flexible / open to hybrid working
• Length of Assignment: 6mths, with the possibility of extension
• Hourly Rate: Dependent on experience
• Location: Rural west Warwickshire, commutable from Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Banbury and surrounding areas

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a small, friendly team. This part-time role is ideal for someone who excels in transactional accounts and who is looking for a varied role. For the right person, there is the potential to get exposure to management accounts and to learn other new skills!

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, duties are likely to include:

• VAT
• Purchase ledger, including creating payment runs
• Credit control, including credit checks
• CIS
• Cashflow
• Credit cards
• Supporting payroll
• Supporting year end
• WIP

What skills and experience do you need?

• It is essential you already have a strong background in transactional accounts, with UK VAT experience.
• You will be accurate, flexible and able to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of CIS is an added advantage.
• You will also need to be a confident software user
