Assistant Accountant

• Salary: Up to £20 per hour
• Job Type: Part-time - 25 hours spaced either over 5 days or 3 full days.

A well-established company in Sheerness is seeking a proactive and experienced Part-Time Assistant Accountant to support their finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts and payroll, looking for a flexible part-time position in a friendly office environment.

• Assist in preparing accounts up to trial balance.
• Process weekly and monthly payroll using Sage Payroll.
• Support with accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledgers.
• Assist with VAT returns and other financial reporting tasks.

• Previous experience in an assistant accountant or similar finance role.
• Proficiency in Sage Payroll (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ideally available to start immediately
