Job Description - Band 5 Mental Health Nurse

Job Title: Band 5 RMN – Agency Shifts (Norfolk NHS Wards)
Location: Norfolk, UK
Job Type: Flexible Agency Shifts (Days, Nights, Weekends)
Pay Rates:
  • £21/hr – Monday to Friday, 06:00–20:00
  • £25/hr – Weekday Nights & Saturdays, 20:00–06:00
  • £29/hr – Sundays & Bank Holidays
Job Description:
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to join our agency team for flexible shifts across NHS mental health wards in Norfolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for nurses looking for autonomy, work-life balance, and competitive rates.
As an RMN, you’ll be working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to patients with a variety of mental health needs. Whether you're looking for a few shifts a week or consistent full-time hours, we offer the flexibility to suit your lifestyle. Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with NHS standards and policies
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients
  • Administer medication safely and effectively
  • Work collaboratively with doctors, therapists, and support staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Respond effectively to incidents, escalating when necessary
Requirements:
  • NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
  • PMVA restraint training (Essential)
  • Minimum 6 months recent experience in an NHS mental health setting
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Strong communication and clinical skills
  • Compassionate, resilient, and able to adapt in fast-paced environments
