Pay Rate: £20 - £24 per hour
Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement
Contract Duration: 28/04/2025 - 17/07/2025

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Christchurch Hospital. This role involves working across multiple inpatient settings, including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation wards. You will play a key role in helping patients regain independence, improve their functional abilities, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct holistic patient assessments

  • Create and deliver personalised treatment plans

  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team

  • Educate and support patients and families

  • Supervise junior staff and students

  • Maintain clear and timely clinical records

  • Contribute to service development

  • Provide flexible support across various care settings

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.

  • HCPC registration.

  • Minimum 6 months of NHS experience, ideally within a general acute care setting.

  • Sound clinical knowledge in managing musculoskeletal, neurological, and general medical conditions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to team working.

  • Ability to work independently while managing a diverse caseload.

  • Evidence of continued professional development (CPD).

  • Experience supervising junior team members or students.

  • A flexible, proactive, and patient-focused mindset.
