We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience in MSK and inpatient orthopaedics/acute medicine. The role involves providing comprehensive assessments, rehabilitation, and discharge planning for patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, orthopaedic surgeries, and acute medical conditions.

• Assess and manage a caseload of inpatients with orthopaedic, MSK, and acute medical conditions.
• Develop and implement patient-centred rehabilitation and treatment plans.
• Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, nurses, and consultants to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery and rehabilitation.
• Assist in discharge planning to ensure safe and effective transitions to home or community care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to service development.

• HCPC registration and right to work in the UK.
• Experience in MSK, orthopaedics, and acute medicine within an NHS setting.
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and discharge planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
