To lead on designated aspects of service in collaboration with Clinical Quality Leads, Team Leads, and Highly Specialist Therapists, ensuring high standards of child-centred care are achieved. To provide highly specialist PT input in your area of specialism and to design and develop evidence-based treatment plans and management programmes following assessment.

Job description

  • To contribute to the development of the Physiotherapist service in your area of specialism and to participate in the review and updating of policies and procedures.
  • To provide clinical support for Physiotherapist staff to develop their skills in the area of specialism through training, second opinions, and joint working, while supervising assistants, PT students, and less experienced Physiotherapists.
  • To manage your own caseload in a range of settings, providing highly specialist interventions and offering information to parents, carers, and other professionals.
  • To maintain continuous professional development in your area of specialism and to inform the Clinical Quality Leads and Team Leads of the impact of research, policy, etc., on local policies and procedures.
  • To participate and promote Clinical Governance, thus ensuring the highest quality of practice is maintained, within the service.

Person Specification & Qualifications

  • HCPC registered.
  • Degree In Physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • Registered member of British Association of OT/Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
  • Previous Experience of working as Paediatric Physiotherapist in NHS with System One knowledge.
  • UK Driving License and Car Owner.
