Bookkeeper

We are recruiting for an experienced practice Bookkeeper to join a small, friendly and well run accountancy firm in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

You will be joining a client focused firm who are enjoying continuing growth and hence are looking for a new Bookkeeper as the latest addition to their team. The role will involve producing bookkeeping for a range of clients, preparing VAT returns and training clients on the use of cloud based accountancy software, mainly Xero. You will also be responsible for some admin and company secretarial tasks, so this is a varied and interesting role.

The firm are based in comfortable offices in an easily accessible location, with ample free parking. They have a friendly and positive team culture and very low staff turnover.

About you:

• Plenty of experience of bookkeeping for a range of SME clients in an accountancy practice environment
• Flexible and enjoy a varied workload in a collaborative environment
• AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous
• Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Eastbourne and happy to be office based.
