Job Description - Bookkeeper

The Business
We are delighted to be partnering with this growing and dynamic property development company located in Lancashire in the recruitment of a bookkeeper.

The role
Due to upcoming projects, the business is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the Head of Finance with day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration.
This is a part-time role (30 hours per week) offering flexibility in both working hours and days.

Duties include:

Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
Process purchase and sales invoices
Bank reconciliations and posting transactions
Assist with VAT returns and other statutory reporting
Maintain supplier and customer records
Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
Support month-end processes and reporting
Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams as needed
Help ensure compliance with internal financial controls
Ad hoc finance and admin tasks as required

Person

Ideally studying AAT or qualified by experience (QBE)
Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance assistant role
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Good knowledge of accounting software - QuickBooks experience desirable
Comfortable working independently and managing workload
Excellent Excel and general IT skills
