Business & Economics Teacher | Barnet | Part-Time

About the Role

An Outstanding school in Barnet is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Business & Economics Teacher to deliver their University Foundation Programme. This is a temporary, part-time position requiring teaching for 3 mornings per week, commencing in April. The successful Business & Economics Teacher will play a key role in preparing students for university-level studies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Business & Economics Teacher lessons within the University Foundation Programme curriculum.


• Teach core concepts in both Business and Economics to a high standard.


• Prepare students for assessments and programme completion.


• Foster a supportive and stimulating learning environment conducive to university preparation.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.


• Collaborate with the programme coordinator and other staff as needed.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Proven experience in teaching Business and Economics at secondary or post-16 level.


• Strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of university-level expectations.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Ability to engage and motivate students preparing for higher education.


• Flexibility to work 3 mornings per week.
