Care Assistant

Location: Winchester

Shifts available: 10am - 11:30pm

                             11:30pm - 7:30am

                             7:30am - 10am

Pay: £16 per hour

Access to vehicle required due to geographical location of role.

What you’ll do

Is your life all work and no balance? You can have more control working as part of a team who organise their own rota, with protected meal breaks, and regular downtime during your shift.

Do you want to feel a real sense of personal fulfilment by making a positive difference to someone’s life? You’ll be joining a team supporting a woman with a spinal cord injury who never allows the fact that she is a full-time wheelchair user to limit her ambition to live life to the full.

You are a caring, reliable, and flexible person who relishes variety. You will be supporting her in her own home alongside a small, friendly team to enable her to pursue her weekly exercise schedule. She also enjoys her hobbies, including gardening, caring for pets, attending social events like the cinema and theatre, as well as various other activities such as holidays and day trips. 

What you’ll need:

You will be a person who cares about others, is honest, trustworthy, reliable, and flexible for the variety this role offers. However, experience in the following would be extremely advantageous for this position:

- Knowledge of C-Pap ventilation

- Stoma Care

- Administration of Medication

- Moving & Handling Equipment
