Care Assistant Part Time

Right at Home provides premium quality homecare to older people, those living with dementia and other vulnerable adults living within our local communities.

We are seeking a caring, reliable and personable individual to join our friendly team of Care Assistants in supporting our clients in their own homes.

Working pattern required

• Available for 10 - 20 hours per week of calls, with potential to increase hours over time.


• Available to cover calls during the week for Day and/or Evening calls. (Days approx. 8:30/9:30am to 2/3pm, evenings approx. 4:30pm to 9:30pm).


• Available to work alternate weekends - mornings or evenings.


• Regular clients, one-hour calls (some calls longer) so you'll really get to know your clients and be able to offer them quality time.

Pay & benefits

• From £14.05 per hour, weekdays (daytime).


• From £16.20 per hour, evenings & weekends.


• £21.08-£28.10 per hour bank holidays.


• Plus paid holiday (28 days pro-rata, equivalent to an additional 12.07% on top of your base pay).


• Plus paid mileage (35p per mile)

Duties

• Within this role you will be caring for clients living with various health challenges, including living with dementia.


• Motivating Clients to get the most out of their day.


• Housekeeping, food shopping and meal preparation.


• Companionship and taking clients out.


• Administering medication.


• Personal care including assisting clients with washing and dressing.

Requirements of the role

• Full, valid UK or EU/EEA driving license and own vehicle.


• Right to work in the UK - we do not have licence to issue CoS


• Caring attitude and passion to help others.


• Reliable team player with a positive attitude and a flair for care.


• Live within 10 miles of Wokingham and Woodley, Reading.
