Position: Caretaker

Location: Bournemouth

Part Time Caretaker role of 15 hours a week

Salary: £9,750.00

Holiday: 20 shifts plus bank holidays

Attend site 15 hours per week, three hour daily.

Hours required to work by the Caretaker:

• Monday 09:00 to 12:00
• Tuesday 13:00 to 16:00
• Wednesday 09:00 to 12:00
• Thursday 09:00 to 12:00
• Friday 09:00 to 12:00

The role of Caretaker involves

• 1. The refuse collectors attend site on a Thursday morning. The bins need to be put out on Wednesday (at end of shift). Once all of the bins have been emptied, the bins need to be returned to their correct positions within the garage areas during Thursdays shift.
• 2. Vacuum clean the following areas as detailed:
• • The main foyer entrance on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and extra, if necessary, as required during the rest of the week.
• • The lifts, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and as extra when required, during the week.
• • Each floor’s landing outside the lifts once a week, or extra as required.
• • The carpet outside the lifts in the garage area to be vacuumed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and if necessary extra as required.
• 3. The stairways to be swept and dusted every two months, or extra as required.
• 4. Underground garage area to be swept of leaves and cleared of rubbish on a weekly basis, and if necessary, extra as required.
• 5. Clean fixtures i.e., exposed pipes, radiators, window sills on each floor, handrails and skirtings to be dusted and cleaned on a weekly basis.
• 6. Internal front doors to be cleaned and marks to be removed weekly, and as required regularly.
• 7. Entrance area to be kept clear of cobwebs on window frames, and the porch area swept and kept clear of litter.
• 8. Lift mirrors to be cleaned Monday and Friday and extra as required. Push button panels to be sanitised daily.
• 9. Clean inside of foyer and landing windows quarterly.
• 10. The outside areas, entrance steps, and areas around the outside seats, pathways etc. to be cleared of any leaves, litter and obstructions.
• 11. Light bulbs in both stairways to be checked daily and bulbs to be replaced as required.
• 12. Outside lighting and lighting on each floor landing to be checked daily and any faults reported to the managing agents.
• 13. General inspection of building on a daily basis, with any faults/problems reported Flat roofs over garage to be kept clear of leaves, rubbish and debris.
• 14. General basic DIY maintenance.
• 15. Assist residents if required, within their flats with various small maintenance items, i.e. changing light bulbs, removal of domestic items for refuse, etc.
• 16. Daily record of works done and reporting of any faults to either a board member or managing agents in Maintenance Record Book.

This is a lovely part time role for somebody with maintenance or good DIY experience to act as Caretaker for a residential block in Bournemouth.
