A Caretaker is needed in an Mixed Independent Secondary School & Sixth Form in South East London.

Working hours for this Caretaker position will be 7am to 12pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities for this Caretaker role will include but not be limited to:

• Maintenance of the buildings
• Carrying out repairs
• Providing general security
• Day to day cleaning
• Carrying out safety checks
• Working with contractors

Ideal applicants for this Caretaker vacancy will:

• Have relevant Health & Safety qualifications/training
• Have previous experience of building maintenance
• Possess a proactive attitude towards applying regulations
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Have a decent understanding of how to use ICT and perform DIY
• Be adaptable, friendly and professional
• Be able to effectively communicate with others
• Ensure they uphold the ethos of the school

The rates of pay for this Caretaker post will range from £100 to £180 a day, depending on the qualifications and experience of each applicant.

The School

An All Through Mixed Independent School, located across 2 sites, in the London Borough of Greenwich.

They provide a Steiner/Waldorf style education.

Pupils gain international NZCSE qualifications, which are considered equivalents to IB & A Levels by UK universities and international institutions of learning.

The sites consist of Kindergarten, Lower, Middle and Upper schools.

Both sites can be found in very picturesque and peaceful green spaces of London.

Class sizes are small, allowing for more focused teaching and attention to individual pupil's needs.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you are a British trained Caretaker or overseas trained Caretaker.

• Right to work in the UK
• Clear and up to date DBS
• Experience as a Caretaker in UK schools
• UK accredited Health & Safety qualifications/training
