Casual Catering Staff

We are currently recruiting reliable, enthusiastic School Catering staff such as Cooks, Chefs and Catering Assistants to join our temporary support team for local primary and secondary schools across Coventry on a casual basis covering staff absences.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Food Prep: Assisting the School Cook/Chef with basic food preparation (chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and setting up service counters).

* Counter Service: Serving healthy, nutritious lunches to students and school staff with a friendly smile.

* Kitchen Maintenance: Helping with washing up, operating the commercial dishwasher, and ensuring the kitchen remains spotless.

* Safety Compliance: Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and adhering to school allergen policies.

What We Need From You:

* A Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate: Ideally registered on the DBS Update Service (if not, we can guide you through the application process).

* Food Hygiene Certification: A valid Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate (or willingness to complete an online course prior to starting).

* Reliability & Punctuality: School lunch times cannot be delayed—we need team players who arrive on time and ready to work.

* A Friendly, Can-Do Attitude: Comfort working in a fast-paced environment around children and school staff.

* Previous experience in commercial catering, schools, or contract catering is a massive plus, but not essential for the right candidate!
