• Location: Bury Council
• Job Type: Part-time, Shift Rota (6:15 am - 9:30 pm, Mon-Sun)
• Pay Rate: £13.26 per hr paye

Bury Council are looking for three Casual Gym Instructors, to be based at their leisure centres and play a crucial role in supporting our customers through their fitness journey. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you will engage directly with customers, helping them achieve their personal fitness goals while maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct health checks and carry out inductions for new gym members.
• Work closely with Exercise Referral Officers to provide tailored fitness programs.
• Engage in various promotions, generating leads, and achieving sales and retention targets.
• Provide a high-quality service to customers, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and clean environment.
• Prepare activity areas and equipment according to the day's program.
• Support the broader wellness service in delivering front-of-house services that facilitate customer access and navigation.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and comply with health and safety legislation.
• Administer first aid when necessary and assist customers with their needs.
• Process bookings for inductions and programs, and perform scheduled maintenance on gym equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold a recognised Level 3 gym instructor qualification.
• Passionate about fitness with excellent people skills and a strong commercial focus.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as part of a normal working week.
• High levels of professional conduct, particularly in punctuality, dress, and presentation.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
