Children's Residential Support Worker - Flexible Shifts

Due to continued demand for our temporary staffing services across Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne and the surrounding areas, we are recruiting experienced, compassionate and reliable Children's Residential Support Workers to join our flexible agency team.
As an Agency Children's Residential Support Worker, you will work within children's residential settings, providing safe, consistent and person-centred support to children and young people.
About the Role
Your role may involve supporting children and young people with day-to-day routines, independence, education, activities and emotional wellbeing while following individual care plans and risk assessments.
You may support children and young people with complex needs and behaviours that can be challenging. You will be expected to remain calm and professional, promote positive relationships and respond appropriately to individual needs.
Safeguarding is central to this role. You will be responsible for recognising and reporting concerns, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and completing clear, accurate and professional records.
Depending on the placement, shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, nights and sleep-ins.
What We're Looking For
Applicants must:
* Have recent UK experience working with children or young people within residential care or a relevant care/support setting
* Have a good understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, risk management and accurate record keeping
* Be willing to complete Onpoint Care's induction and all required mandatory training
* Have an Enhanced DBS, satisfactory employment references and the Right to Work in the UK
A relevant qualification in Children and Young People, Residential Childcare or Health and Social Care is desirable.
