CLASS 1 DRIVER

Job Title: Class 1 Driver (Ad Hoc, Temporary)
Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Job Type: Temporary / Ad Hoc
Salary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate starts available

We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to work on an ad hoc, temporary basis for a number of logistics clients based in Hatfield. This role is ideal for drivers who are looking for flexible working patterns or to supplement existing work.

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles for local and/or national deliveries and collections

• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each journey in line with DVSA standards

• Ensure timely delivery of goods to various destinations

• Complete and maintain accurate records of delivery paperwork and tachograph data

• Adhere to all road transport legislation and company policies

• Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding schedules, delays, or incidents

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence

• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

• Minimum of 6 months Class 1 driving experience preferred

• No more than 6 penalty points on licence (no DR, DD, or IN endorsements)

• Strong understanding of driver hours and working time directive regulations

• Good communication and time management skills

• Flexible and available for short-notice bookings

• Previous experience with refrigerated, curtain sider, or trunking work

• Local knowledge of Hatfield and surrounding areas
