Earnings: From £22.41 up to £49.61ph

Class 1 Weekend Driver Opportunity

Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK's biggest supermarkets, as a Class 1 Weekend Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long-term partnership based in, Bedford. You will play a vital role in keeping the nation fed by delivering to stores and petrol stations across the region.

Role & Responsibilities :

Chilled & frozen loads, mostly stored in cages but some cases may be pallets
1-3 store deliveries , this can be to supermarkets or petrol station stores
Drivers must be flexible to operate Class 1and Class 2 vehicles (always paid at Class 1 rate)
Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at storesShifts :

Saturday & Sunday
Available start time windows : 13:00 - 17:00, 18:00 - 22:00, 23:00 - 03:00
Minimum 1 weekend day availability is a must

Benefits & Pay Rates :

Automatic pay rises at 12 and 27 weeks
Double pay on Bank Holidays (up to £49.61ph)
Increased holiday entitlement once first 12 weeks is completed
Overtime after 45 hours, paid on weekly basis

Bacs 14:00-22:00 : STD £20.45ph & Overtime £28.21ph

Nights 22:00-06:00 : STD £22.41ph & Overtime £30.17ph

WK 12 Rates - Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

Days 06:00-14:00 : STD £19.47ph & Overtime £27.40ph

Backs 14:00-22:00 : STD £22.10ph & Overtime £30.03ph

Nights 22:00-06:00 : STD £23.66ph & Overtime £31.59ph

WK27 Rates - Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

Days 06:00-14:00 : STD £20.57ph & Overtime £28.50ph

Backs 14:00-22:00 : STD £24.81ph & Overtime £31.18ph

Nights 22:00-06:00 : STD £24.81ph & Overtime £32.73ph

Class 1 Driver Requirements

Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months Class 1 driving experience
Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
