Clinical Coder (Onsite) needed in Stone, Staffordshire

We are searching for an experienced Clinical Coder to help support our client in the Staffordshire Area on a part-time, locum basis.

Location: Cumberland House Surgery, Stone, Staffordshire, ST15 8AP
Hours: 3 days per week (onsite only) | Flexible around core hours
Duration: Immediate start – approximately 1 month
Rate: £16.88 per hour - paid Via Umbrella Company 

Job Description Cumberland House Surgery is seeking an experienced Clinical Coder to support the practice on a temporary, onsite basis. This position requires the successful candidate to work on site throughout the duration of the assignment; remote working is not available.

The role will involve the accurate and timely coding of clinical information to support safe, effective, and compliant healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Accurately code clinical data from patient records in accordance with national and local standards

Maintain high standards of data quality and clinical record accuracy

Update and manage patient records using EMIS

Review, process, and file clinical correspondence via Docman

Support the practice in clearing coding backlogs where required

Work collaboratively with clinicians and administrative staff to ensure accurate record-keeping

Essential Requirements
Demonstrable experience working as a Clinical Coder within a healthcare setting

Proven experience using EMIS
