Cognitive Behavioural Therapist - Must be BABCP Accredited

Drapers Gardens, 12 Throgmorton Ave, London, EC2N 2DL

Permanent. Part time, 1 day a week, 08:30-17:30

Salary: £49,900 per annum* plus excellent Bupa benefits

*based on full-time, as this is a part-time offering the salary will be pro-rata

Providing high intensity CBT sessions on a 1-2-1 basis, you will work with employees from our corporate client - onsite who need support with their mental health and wellbeing. Working with clients face to face, you will be a first point of clinical contact for people with potential mental health issues and concerns, and you will provide a high quality, effective and safe mental wellbeing service.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • To provide high-quality Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or low-level brief interventions which demonstrates excellent clinical outcomes

  • To deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence-based intervention. To ensure a thorough assessment determines the most appropriate pathway of care and support for the client

  • To provide different models of service delivery including telephone or video consultation, depending on client preference

  • To adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and work collaboratively with the Clinical Leads and wider therapy team

  • To adhere to sessional limits depending on the client’s monetary allowance as determined by their Private Medical Insurance, whilst working towards therapeutic recovery goals

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Full BABCP accreditation

  • At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role providing high intensity CBT interventions and managing own caseload

  • Integrative approach, more than one therapeutic modality (CBT plus other modalities, such as psychodynamic) 

  • IT Skills including proficiency using Microsoft Systems as well as electronic medical record systems

  • Diverse and varied clinical experience to draw upon, able to work with a variety of clients, who present with mild-moderate mental health issues. 

  • Desirable - someone who has experience working with relationship issues. 

  • Ability to present to groups and deliver training workshops also preferred

  • Right to work in the UK
