Our purpose-built short break service provides high-quality respite care and support in a safe, welcoming environment. As part of our waking night team, you will play a vital role in ensuring people receive the care, reassurance, and support they need throughout the night.

  • Carrying out regular welfare and safety checks.
  • Administering medication in line with policies and procedures.
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies and changing needs.
  • Completing accurate records and night reports.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
  • Following support plans, risk assessments, and service procedures at all times.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of care.

We value the right values and attitude more than previous experience.

You'll be someone who:

  • Treats people with dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • Has a person-centred approach to support.
  • Is calm, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Has good communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Is committed to promoting positive outcomes for people with disabilities.
  • Can work flexibly as part of a rota-based service.

Experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Why Join Us?

  • Make a meaningful difference every shift.
  • Full induction and comprehensive training programme.
  • Ongoing support and development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to gain funded qualifications in Health and Social Care.
  • Career progression within Lancashire County Council.
  • Foundation Living Wage Employer.
  • Enhanced payments for weekends and bank holidays where applicable.
  • Supportive and friendly team environment.
