Role Overview
As a Construction Risk Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting underwriting decisions by providing technical risk assessments and engineering insights for construction-related insurance products. You’ll collaborate closely with underwriters, brokers, and clients to evaluate project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed risk assessments for construction projects including EAR, civil, infrastructure, and commercial developments.
Provide technical reports and recommendations to underwriters to support risk selection and pricing.
Liaise with clients and brokers to gather project information and present findings.
Monitor ongoing projects and provide updates on risk developments.
Stay current with construction technologies, regulations, and industry best practices.
Support the development of underwriting guidelines and risk engineering tools.


Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction risk engineering, site management, or technical consultancy.
Strong understanding of construction methods, project lifecycle, and risk factors.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to travel for site visits and client meetings as required.
Experience in the insurance industry or working with insurers is a plus.
