Cook/Jnr Chef, Kington, Herefordshire

Reactive Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-respected care facility that provides exceptional care for the elderly. They currently seek a Jnr Cook/Chef to join their small efficient team based in Kington, Herefordshire.

Job Summary:

• To prepare and cook basic foods for the residents of the care home – typical soft diet foods such as sandwiches, pastas, eggs, porridge etc
• Working with an assistant Cook to ensure the orders placed are ready in a sensible time frame
• Quality is important so high standards in food quality, taste and presentation is required at all times

Experience:

• Experience in any catering/cook/chef capacity would be strongly advantageous
• If no hands on experience, personal experience in cooking will be required
• Flexible, adaptable and well presented
• Any health & safety, first aid or food hygiene qualifications would help but full training provided
• Clear and concise communication skills

Package and working hours:

• Paying an hourly rate of approx. £13.00ph over a 30 hour week (£20,280pa)
• Hours are 0600am to 1600pm 3 days per week including every other weekend
• Food provided
• Free parking
