Job Title: Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools

Location: Halifax

Pay: £90 - £100 per day

Working Hours: 08:00 - 15:30

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This position is on a supply basis, and successful candidates will need to be contactable early in the morning to accept bookings. Your role includes implementing pre-prepared lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain focused on their work.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Provide support and guidance to students during the absence of the regular teacher.

• Confidence: Ability to confidently lead a classroom and deliver effective lessons.
• Time Management: Efficiently plan and utilise time to cover a range of subjects.
• Communication: Clear and effective communication with students and staff.
• Reliability: Consistent and dependable in fulfilling teaching responsibilities.
