Cover Supervisor (Secondary)

We are currently hiring for Cover Supervisors (Secondary) across Leeds due to a high volume of exciting opportunities and numerous positions available throughout the district.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor (Secondary), you will oversee students as they work on pre-planned tasks when regular teaching staff are absent (e.g., due to sickness or paternity leave). Your primary responsibility will be managing the classroom environment and student behaviour while ensuring students complete the assigned work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising students and ensuring they complete the set tasks
• Managing student behaviour
• Assisting students with any questions they may have
• Adhering to the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Collecting completed work and submitting it to the Head of Department
• Providing feedback on the lesson and student progress

About you

• Be adaptable and willing to support both students and the school in any way deemed appropriate
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor in a UK school is desirable
• Strong behaviour management skills are essential
