Salary: £115 - £130 per day (dependent on experience)

We’re currently recruiting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across a range of welcoming and well-regarded secondary schools in the Birmingham area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, develop your skills, and make a real impact—without the full responsibilities of a qualified teacher.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, ensuring that pre-prepared lessons are delivered and students remain engaged, safe, and on-task. You’ll need to be confident managing behaviour, building rapport quickly, and keeping learning on track.

• Deliver pre-set lesson materials in the teacher’s absence

• Supervise classes and ensure a positive, focused learning environment

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Support students with tasks and encourage participation

• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour

• Experience working with young people (education, sports coaching, youth work, etc.)

• Strong classroom presence and confident communication skills

• The ability to build positive relationships quickly

• Adaptable, dependable, and able to think on your feet

• A genuine interest in education and helping students succeed
