Location: Burgess Hill, UK
Job Type: FTE
Salary: 70000- 75000 GBP/ Year

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Database Architect with experience in working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle for application development, database placement design, tuning, DDL promotion, and upgrades. If you have a passion for solving complex database challenges and possess a strong technical background, this could be the perfect role for you.

• Design, construct, and oversee complex database solutions for critical applications.
  
  
• Analyze structural requirements and design conceptual and logical data models.
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless database integration.
  
  
• Take initiative in tackling new database challenges and implementing best practices.
  
  
• Work on cloud-based technologies (Azure) and assist with database upgrades and tuning.
  
  

• Mandatory: Strong experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle); knowledge of SQL Server is a plus.
  
  
• Expertise in database design, tuning, and DDL promotion.
  
  
• Experience with NoSQL technologies such as Couchbase and Cassandra (ideally).
  
  
• Ability to design, develop, and optimize database solutions.
  
  
• Strong working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Git, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
  
  
• Technical Qualifications: Graduate/Postgraduate qualifications, ideally with prior experience in a financial or fintech company.
  
  
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Jira, Rally, Kanban, Confluence).
