Job Description - Digital Computing Lecturer

  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Location: Middlesex
  • Salary: Up to £38,186 pro rata (approximately £22,905 per annum for 3 days per week) - up for negatiation
  • Working Hours: 22.2 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday)

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and technology, ready to make a significant impact on our students' lives by delivering high-quality teaching on our new Digital T Level qualifications and Level 2 Transition to T Level 3 programme.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that are aligned with the curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their full potential.
  • Assess, review, and record learner progress and maintain course and learner records.
  • Embed employment skills into the curriculum courses to enhance student employability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in software development, including SDLC, models, and languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, VB.net, along with appropriate IDEs like Visual Studio 2017 with mobile emulator.
  • Experience of teaching in further education is a distinct advantage.
  • Teaching qualifications are preferred, or a willingness to work towards obtaining one with our support.
  • Recent graduates and individuals seeking a career change may be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of contemporary curriculum and assessment developments in IT.
