Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time Director of Higher Education for a fantastic FE College in the Hull area. This role is to start as soon as possible or in September 2025, and ideally we are looking for a temporary to permanent role, with the successful candidate starting on a temporary basis before moving onto a permanent contract after a period of 12 weeks. This will allow the candidate to ensure that they are happy in the role and performing well. Payment for this position will be £30,870.61 - £36,157.50 per anum, and it is a part time position, 52 weeks per year, 22.5 hours per week.

This role will involve leading strategic development, quality assurance, and operational delivery of HE across the College. The successful candidate will act as the HE Registrar, leading the HE function and ensuring compliance with the Office for Students and QAA requirements. Other duties will include:

• Overseeing governance structures
• Supporting curriculum innovation
• Leading strategic development and growth of Higher Education in line with the College's plan
• Providing effective leadership to HE Teams
• Performance and Data Management

You will be joining a College with a strong reputation in the area, who are dedicated to ensuring the professional development of their staff members. This is a chance to really develop the HE provision and increase market share within the area.

You will receive 27 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays), and 3 additional days to be used in the Christmas Holidays.

• Have a degree level qualification or equivalent professional qualification
• Full teaching qualification
• Proven senior experience in management in FE
• Proven background in academic governance, compliance and quality assurance
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the full CV History
• Legal right to work in the UK
