DT Technician part time job

Your new company
This Design Technology Technician job is based at a secondary school in the North of Sheffield. The school has a very dedicated workforce that focusses on the educational outcomes of all students and aims to create a learning community that is both supportive and safe in an environment of mutual respect.
Your new role
This school is currently looking for a part-time 3-day a-week DT Technician to start as soon as possible. Your time in this role will include:

• Support in preparing for practical lessons
• Maintain equipment
• Ensure a safe working environment for both staff and pupils
• Manage resources, including ordering, issuing and distributing stock
• Maintain and repair materials and equipment as required

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would have:

• Ability to multitask
• Good problem-solving skills
• Inventory management
• Experience working with woodwork
• Motivated and proactive
• Passion for woodwork

This is a temporary role that has a strong chance of being permanent. An Enhanced DBS will be required for the role. If you don't have one, it can be processed. The school is looking for someone to start immediately.
