English Lecturer (GCSE and Functional Skills)

• Salary: £32,455 to £45,260 per annum including London Weighting
• Job Types: Full-time (36 hours per week) and Part-time (18 hours per week), 52 weeks per year

We are excited to offer opportunities for both a full-time and a part-time English Lecturer to join our client's School of English and Maths. These roles involve delivering GCSE and Functional Skills English primarily to vocational learners aged 16-18, along with a growing number of part-time adult learners. This is a fantastic chance to contribute significantly to the educational journey of the students, helping them progress to higher education or into the workplace.

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to GCSE and Functional Skills students.
• Tailor teaching methods to suit a range of learning styles and educational needs, particularly focusing on vocational learners and resit students.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced teachers to share and implement best teaching practices.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student achievement.
• Participate in curriculum development activities to enhance the learning experience.
• Contribute to the pastoral care of students, guiding them towards academic and vocational success.

• A degree in English or a closely related subject.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring English at GCSE and/or Functional Skills levels.
• Proven ability to engage and motivate students aged 16-18 from various vocational backgrounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching practices.
